with spring approaching we will have a whole new crop of graduates. these students will be getting out into "the real world".  they will need headshots for applications, for linked in, for handshake, for indeed, for dating apps and for whatever other uses.

one idea that a recent client gave me is to gift your upcoming graduate with a photo session for his or her headshot.  i can bring my portable studio and do a headshot in the comfort of your home.  this works well because usually the shoot involves at least two changes of wardrobe and it is convenient to be at your home.

with regard to clothing options for all headshots, i usually suggest solid colors, and business attire, keeping in mind that most of the images are chest and above.  this can be a jacket and a button down or a solid dress or blouse with or without a jacket.  jewelry should be minimal and professional looking and, make up and hair shouldn't be overdone.

the sessions are usually around 45 minutes, sometimes less. the background colors are light grey and dark grey.  but i can also do white and black upon request.  also, weather permitting, we can do outdoor shots as well.  sometimes they are more at ease doing a shoot in a natural setting.
